Poem: Forgiveness Comes in Waves (haiku in 8 variations)

Father Super Creep

Rapist wannabe,

Rage monster pervert.

Pedophile father

Fool of regrets…but sorrow

Can’t erase abuse.

Orphan-like father

I forgive you but I won’t

Deny or forget.

Misguided father

You weren’t the family doctor,

Sickness was in you.

Like Jekyll and Hyde

I feel sorry for you now

That you’re old and meek.

I loved you, despite

What you claimed, was never yours

Love can’t be stolen.

You never raped me

But I was always afraid

That someday you would.

Gladiator love

Pain as teacher, evolver,

Frees us from the dark.
